Marcus M. Weinstein
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Weinstein, now semi-retired, continues to guide and mentor the executive management team. He began his career in real estate in 1952, building single-family homes primarily in the Richmond area. A decade later he expanded into the apartment and commercial real estate markets. He established Weinstein Properties (formerly known as Weinstein Management Company, Inc. or WMCi) in 1975 to consolidate the management of his extensive real estate holdings throughout Virginia.
Mr. Weinstein received his B.A. from the University of Richmond in 1949 and an Honorary Doctorate of Commerce in 2003.
In addition to his corporate role, he is very active in community philanthropic endeavors.
Allison P. Weinstein
President and Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Weinstein is responsible for Weinstein Properties' day-to-day operations. She is the daughter of Marcus Weinstein. Prior to joining Weinstein Management in 1994, she and her husband, Ivan Jecklin, lived in Chicago where she worked in the recruiting and personnel department for a large Chicago based law firm.
Ms. Weinstein graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in 1984 and a juris doctorate in 1987.
In addition to her role at Weinstein Properties, Ms. Weinstein is very active in community philanthropic endeavors.
Ivan P. Jecklin
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Jecklin received a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1985 and a juris doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis in 1988. Mr. Jecklin practiced law at a large Chicago law firm before joining Weinstein Properties in 1994. Mr. Jecklin is responsible for acquisitions, development, capital projects and commercial properties as well as other aspects of Weinstein Properties' operations.
Mr. Jecklin is active in the Richmond community through his involvement in various non-profits and community organizations including his leadership of the Jewish Community Federation's Annual Campaign.
John T. Lancaster
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lancaster is primarily responsible for lender relationships, accounting and finance, information technology, and assessing the return on investment of acquisitions and capital projects. Mr. Lancaster was previously a manager at the public accounting firm of KPMG in Washington, D.C. where his practice areas included banking and local governments.
Mr. Lancaster received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Virginia Tech and is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Lancaster also serves on the board of the International Hospital for Children.
